Reticulated Silver

Reticulation is a process of heating sterling silver to a temperature just below its melting point then cooling it. This process is repeated several times. On the final heating the silver is heated to just above its melting point and the silver “flows” like a watery surface. The result is a surface that looks like waves, or crumpled paper, or a moonscape, or just about anything else.
